125 case production

With strong blackberry flavors, rich tannins and an excellent acidity for aging, this “big boy red” has it all. The cabernet grapes we use for our mountains reserve cabernet sauvignon come from the mayacamas mountains of napa valley. The three appellations, mount veeder, diamond mountain and spring mountain, make up some of the best real estate in the u.s. for producing world-class wine grapes. With a longer growing season, and a much more difficult climate compared to fruit grown on the valley floor, these grapes are rich with complexity. Aged in 75% new and 25% one-year-old french oak for at least 24 months, the result is a dark purple, robust full bodied wine. This wine is wonderfully balanced and can be enjoyed for 10-15 years to come.

100 Case Production

The Grenache is spicy, yet soft and fruit forward. It is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. Harvested from 90-year-old vines in Eldorado Hills, this Rhone grape ripens late and needs the hot, dry climate. Because of the age of the vine, the fruit yields are low, creating a wine that is rich and complex in flavor, with an elegant hint of light spices to the back of your palate. This wine has a vibrant, bold dark red color that is rare for the varietal. Don’t let the boldness scare you though; our Grenache is still sweet enough to bring home to mom.

250 Case Production

The Block Napa Valley (N.V.) Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully bright wine with clean fruit flowing from the front to the back of the pallet. Consisting of a blend of 5 small vineyard blocks across the napa valley floor; spanning from the coombsville district to the bench of mt. Veeder. This region maintains slightly cooler and moderate temperatures in the morning than the upper-valley due to marine influence. In the afternoon this region benefits from the warm summer temperatures resulting in crisp and elegant characteristics. Aged in 50% new and 50% one-year-old french oak for at least 24 months, the block nv will hit its stride in only a few years but can be cellared and enjoyed years to come.

200 Case Production

The newest edition to the ‘g’ Wine family, the 7th letter is a red blend consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Zinfandel and Syrah. These varietals are blended equally to produce a rich and juicy, big fruit, medium bodied wine. The fruit in the 7th Letter is hedonistically huge, voluptuous and sweet while still maintaining a medium body. This makes the 7th Letter the perfect year round drinker. It has a monstrous abundance of dark fruit that envelopes the pallet, and aromatics that will open up in your glass with almost a port-like nose. The Cabernet and Petite Verdot vineyards are located in the eastern hills of the Coombsville appellation, and the Zinfandel and Syrah grapes are from two vineyards on the other side of the Vaca Mountain range, in the Suisun Valley. Although the Zin and Syrah add a luscious sweetness to the wine, The Cabernet and Petit Verdot make it a formidable red blend with their structure and soft tannins. The 7th Letter can be shared now, or cellared for years to come.
